Who we are
Mobility Arts and Culture Austria is a joint project of the Austrian Commission for UNESCO and the association Work Smart, with financial support from the Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport.
The aim of the project is to offer publicly accessible information on mobility to and from Austria for artists, cultural and creative workers and organizers in the arts and culture sector free of charge. In addition to questions relating to visas and residence, social security, taxes, labour-law and inclusion, this also covers other topics such as copyright and contract-law, which are mandatory for employment across national borders.
The project focuses on the information website and the associated consultation service, which serve to improve the work opportunities and mobility of arts and cultural practitioners.
The consultation service offered as part of the project as well as regular information formats and workshops and the international work in the Mobility Info Points network are carried out by the “Work Smart” association. The “Austrian Commission for UNESCO” is responsible for the information website.
Mobility Arts and Culture Austria is part of the network of Mobility Info Points (MIPs).
The website Mobility Arts and Culture www… is a further development of the website “Art Mobility Austria” www.art-mobility.at
